Ephesians 4:28; Luke 5:31-32; Proverbs 12:27
God created us to solve problems; Jesus declared that
this was the reason for the anointing (Luke 4:18), when we meet people’s needs,
value flows back to us. Man created money for measuring and exchanging value to
solve problems for others. Prior to this, it was trade by barter, or simply
put, value for value in terms of goods, commodities, products or service. This still
remains the basic principle for attracting and creating wealth. To be able to
achieve this, God gives each one gifts, talents, and the ability to learn and
acquire or develop skills. Ignorant of this, many still see money and wealth
outside of this interchange of real value and so find it difficult to actualize
the reality of wealth and well – being that God has given all His children to
enjoy. Joseph and Daniel solved national problems; Isaac solved the problems of
food and unemployment (Gen 26); Bill Gates and Steve Jobs are solving problems
of information technology, and Sam Adeyemi, leadership. They all have
discovered the connection between their gifts and people’s problems, and are
better off for it. Today, our discussion will focus on how we must discover,
through such connections, vast opportunities for creating wealth.
